From the Memorare

To anyone
From anyone
Sometimes I ask for help
and it comes like the Son of God
in Revelation or Ezekiel
with fiery eyes that shine like gemstones
and victory that flares like flames
Down are cast the devils and demons
but I am left in fright
The fear of the Lord
The fear of the Lord
and I look away from his brilliance and magnificence
and there scared I find the maid
