My Journey to God

Reconciliation

As I gaze into your face, Jesus,
All my masks are stripped away
All my defenses fall down
I am here with You now.

All the good that I have done
Can never be enough—
All I really have to do
Is say I am sorry to You.

You will be pleased with my love and my broken heart,
I know it’s not much but it is just the start
Of a more authentic life
Truly Your disciple, Christ.

Help me now to know my sins
That I may not sin again
Help me, Lord, with all Your grace
May I always seek Your face.
