Cataracts of My Heart

I’m beginning to understand that
I waver in faith
Because my spiritual vision is in
need of correction.
I miss the mark so often because
I fail to see
With the same perspective,
Heavenly Father, as you.

So I repent of both near-
and far-sightedness today.
There are “cataracts” on the eyes
of my heart.
With the skill of a masterful
surgeon, dear Lord,
Would you remove them and
take them away?
